A day after the joint opposition parties' meeting in Bihar, BJP president JP Nadda will visit the state followed by a visit by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Ahead of the Opposition parties' meeting on June 23 in Patna, a BJP Bihar Core Group meeting took place at Union Minister Giriraj Singh's residence in Delhi on Wednesday to strengthen the organisation.

Bihar BJP in-charge, Vinod Tawde, co-in-charge, Harish Dwivedi, co-in-charge, Sunil Ojha, organisation minister, Bhikhubhai Dalsania, regional organisation minister, Nagendra Nath Tripathi, Bihar BJP president Samrat Chowdhary, Leader of the Opposition in Bihar Assembly, Vijay Sinha, Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Modi, Sanjay Jaiswal and Mangal Pandey were present at the meeting.


"Naddaji will visit Jhanjharpur on June 24 and then Amit Shahji will visit Munger on June 29," Chowdhury told reporters after the meeting.

The visit of top BJP leaders to the state is aimed at galvanising party workers and set the tone for the Lok Sabha polls next year.

The meeting was held at a time when Jitenram Manjhi is on the verge of moving out of the ruling JDU-RJD mahagathbandhan. Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the BJP would like to strengthen the NDA by welcoming back its old partners like Manjhi and Mukesh Sahani-led VIP.
