Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to chair a meeting of the Union Council of Ministers on Wednesday, the first such meeting after Operation Sindoor. It is being organised just days ahead of the 11th anniversary of the Modi government, sources said.

At the meeting to be held at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi, ministers are expected to be briefed on Operation Sindoor and the situation which has emerged in its aftermath, sources said.

As part of the first anniversary of the third term of the Modi government, the BJP is planning to highlight the punitive action against terrorism.

Another issue which might come up for discussion is the caste census, which was also discussed at the NDA chief ministers' meeting, they added. At the council of ministers' meeting, PM Modi usually discusses broad governance issues with his cabinet colleagues and at times presentations are made by top bureaucrats on policy and people-centric issues.
