NEW DELHI: After Natwar Singh and Sanjaya Baru’s candid memoirs that left Congress red-faced during election season last year, former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit is busy penning her autobiography.

"It is an autobiography and also a biography of the city. I have started writing the book. I hope to wrap it up by the end of this year," Dikshit said, speaking exclusively to ET about her book.

Though Dikshit insists "nobody needs to be scared", the book promises to be an interesting read.

The leader known for her outspoken ways and open criticism of her political rivals could spark off apprehensions in Congress, especially after recent books have left the party red-faced.

Dikshit is yet to decide on a publisher, though. "I don’t want the book to be boring. If it is boring I would throw it in the dustbin." "I don’t want it to be a criticism of the system or anybody. Mine is not a book which would be any kind of evaluation of anything, least of all about people." She added, laughing, "No, no. Nobody needs to be scared."
