After calm at home, Soren set for Davos and UK visits
In a bold move to elevate Jharkhand's profile, Chief Minister Hemant Soren is heading to the World Economic Forum in Davos. This visit is not just about participation; it symbolizes a commitment to global engagement for the state.

In recent months, speculation has circulated about Soren possibly aligning with the NDA. The chief minister has not commented on the reports, but his engagement with the Centre has visibly improved.
As Jharkhand marks 25 years since its formation in 2000, the state government had announced year-long celebrations. It is now taking the milestone beyond the state's borders. For the first time, Soren will attend the World Economic Forum later this month in Davos, alongside representatives from eight other Indian states.
The state government is presenting the Davos visit as an opportunity to showcase Jharkhand at a prominent global forum. Following Davos, Soren will travel to London, where he is scheduled to visit universities, meet ministers and attend several official programmes. A state reception is also planned in London on January 22 in his presence.
Sources told ET that Soren's participation in the Davos meet was guided by inputs from senior offices in New Delhi.
