After being dropped from Akhilesh govt Om Prakash says Mulayam ‘Sarvamanya'
NEW DELHI: A day after being dropped from the Akhilesh Yadav government, SP’s key leader and six-term MLA from Zamania in Ghazipur, Om Prakash Singh, said Netaji was “sarvamanya (acceptable to all)” and CM Akhilesh Yadav was his party’s face.

Singh, who was recently selected as party’s state general secretary by SP’s UP unit chief Shivpal Yadav, said: “Ticket distribution will be decided by both — Netaji and Akhileshji. Besides, we have our parliamentary committee and a process in place for the same within our organisation.”

When asked about Shivpal’s role in candidate selection, Singh said Shivpal would be involved in ticket distribution in his capacity as the SP state chief.

Regarding rift in the party, he said SP national president Mulayam Singh Yadav is acceptable to all.

“Netaji held talks with both — Akhileshji and Shivpalji,” he added. Asked about CM’s decision to drop him from the ministry, he said it’s CM right. “I have high respect for him. He is our leader.”
