After 6 months, Pakistani Rangers offer sweets to BSF counterparts
AMRITSAR: After a gap of almost six months, Pakistani Rangers offered sweets to their Indian counterparts BSF at Joint Check Post Attari/Wagah border on the occasion of Pakistan National Day.

Deputy Director General of Pakistani Rangers, Brigadier Zahid offered sweets to DIG of BSF, M F Farooqui yesterday, officials said.

In October last year, in the wake of repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the border, Indian forces had not offered sweets to their Pakistani counterparts on the occasion of Diwali.

This step had come close on the heels of no sweets being offered on the eve of Eid festival by the Pakistani side.
