Aeronautical Society plans competition in the name of A P J Abdul Kalam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Seeking to commemorate the birth anniversary of 'People's President', late APJ Abdul Kalam and keep alive his memories, Aeronautical Society of India will organise elocution competition for school students of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

The AeSI's Thiruvananthapuram Branch is conducting the competition in English and Malayalam for high school and higher secondary students of Kerala and Kanyakumari district in Tamil Nadu.

The first prize winners of the competition, planned to be held by the end of this month here, will be awarded Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Gold Medals, a release said here.

The topic will be related to Kalam's future vision for India, it said.

Students who are interested can send their details to aesitvm@gmail.com (Secretary, AeSI Trivandrum) on or before September 15, 2015, the release added.
