Advocate files complaint against Krishna, Devegowda & others

BANGALORE: In what could be seen as a counter to Governor H R Bhardwaj'sanction of prosecution against B S Yeddyurappa, a complaint was today filed against four former Karnataka Chief Ministers, including S M Krishna, before a judicial commission set up by BJP government to probe land scams.

Vinod, an advocate, submitted the complaint seeking a probe into denotification of lands during the rule of Krishna, now External Affairs Minister, H D Devegowda, his son H D Kumaraswamy and N Dharam Singh as Chief Ministers.

The 630-page complaint, filed before Justice B Padmaraj Commission of inquiry, lists denotification of land allotments during the four former Chief Ministers.

Karnataka government has ordered a probe into land allotments and denotification by BDA and KIADB from 1995 to November 2010.

Devegowda was the Chief Minister between 1994-1996, Krishna from 1999-2004, Dharam Singh 2004-06 and Kumaraswamy led the JDS-BJP coalition between 2006 to 2007.

Yeddyurappa was the Deputy Chief Minister in JD(S)-BJP coalition government.
