Advantage Assam: Global Investors’ Summit has attracted Rs. 8,020.21 crore till now says Chandra Mohan Patwary
Assam Industry and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patwary while replying to a question by AGP legislator, Pabindra Deka in state assembly stated, “A total of 207 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) have been signed during the Advantage Assam summit.

Assam Industry and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patwary while replying to a question by AGP legislator, Pabindra Deka in state assembly stated, “A total of 207 Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) have been signed during the Advantage Assam summit. Apart from this another 34 investors have also expressed their interest to invest in Assam and submitted proposals to the Industry and Commerce department.”
He said out of 207 MoUs signed during the summit last year, ten have already been grounded which involves investment worth Rs. 6,575.84 crore. “ 34 other units, which were not a part of the 207 MoUs signed during the Summit, have also been grounded with an investment of Rs. 1,441.37 crore.”
Patwary said that Assam Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) has allotted 22267.6 square/ meter of area to 17 industrial units, who have applied for lands under the MoUs signed during the Investment Assam Summit held last year.
