Advani praise well deserved: Mulayam Singh Yadav

LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said that any praise of tall leaders like LK Advani, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was well deserved. Reacting to senior BJP leader LK Adavni's praise of Ram Manohra Lohia he said that it was good that Lohia was praised. He said that there is nothing wrong in praising a respected leader no matter from which party they are.

“When I praised Advani there was a lot of hue and cry. A good leader should always be praised, no matter from which party he is. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee wasa big leader he fought for the freedom struggle. He may have been be with the Jan Sangh but there is nothing wrong in praising him. Similarly Deen Dayal Upadhyay was a big leader” said Yadav.

This comes a few days after he praised Advani from a public platform in Lucknow, followed by SP Rajya Sabha MP Ram Gopal Yadav saying that Atal Bihari Vajapyee was a better PM that the current UPA leadership. Ram Gopal also said that the BJP led NDA was a more cohesive alliance than the UPA. On Wednesday Mulayam Singh Yadav again evoked the fear of the Congress. He said that it was not easy to take on a big party like the Congress. “The Congress can slap cases against me. It can set the CBI against us and send me to jail. A government has 1,000 hands and it can do a lot. You must consider whom we are fighting. Congress is not a small party” he said. Yadav was speaking after a meeting of district chiefs of the Samajwadi Party. At the meeting he asked the leaders to be prepared for early polls.
