As West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee raged against the ED raids on the offices of I-PAC, senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, "I-PAC is a corporate entity. What does it do for Mamata Banerjee's party? IPAC acts as the eyes and ears of TMC.

They are engaged in framing all sorts of strategies to ensure the win of the TMC and for that, they can do anything in exchange for money. For example, to defeat me in the last Lok Sabha election, they suggested (TMC fielding) a Muslim cricketer (Yusaf Pathan) .

Secondly, a heinous job was perpetrated by them. In my constituency one communal riot was engineered at the behest of IPAC. And now it has been acknowledged by none other than its own party MLA in the full glare of media," Chowdhury told the media.
