The timing of the Parliament sessions is decided by the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs and there are indications of the ruling establishment considering the winter session sometime in January, perhaps closer to the budget session.
Stressing that many important current issues warrant parliamentary discussion, Chowdhury said in his letter, “The most notable amongst them is the ongoing farmers' agitation, status/preparedness of Covid-19 vaccine, economic slowdown, unemployment scenario, the continuous face-off on the India-China border, unabated ceasefire violation on the Indo-Pak border.”
