Adhikari aide murder: CBI takes over probe into Chandranath Rath killing
Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR in the murder of West Bengal chief minister Suvendu Adhikari's aide Chandranath Rath, taking over the investigation from the state police.

Rath, personal assistant to Adhikari, was killed on May 6.

Sources said a seven-member Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by a DIG-rank officer, has been formed by the CBI to probe the murder. A forensic team also visited the murder spot on Tuesday. The three accused - Mayank Raj Mishra, Vicky Maurya, and Raj Singh - were remanded to police custody till May 24 following their arrest from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. All three were arrested after interrogation on Monday morning.
