The Aam Admi Party on Thursday made three demands regarding Gautam Adani's indictment. AAP leader Sanjay Singh in a press conference said that the party's demands arrest of Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani, arrests of all officials involved, and a Supreme Court scruitinised investigation against the business tycoon.

The demands came after U.S. prosecutors in New York indicted Gautam Adani, along with two executives, Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain of Adani Green Energy. The indictment accuses them of paying over $250 million in bribes between 2020 and 2024 to secure solar energy contracts worth $2 billion.

Rahul Gandhi slams Adani, PM Modi

Earlier, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi demanded the arrest of Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani, following allegations of a multibillion-dollar fraud scheme. Addressing a press conference, Gandhi emphasised that the accusations must be thoroughly investigated and appropriate legal action should be taken.

"Adani should be arrested and punished for his actions," Rahul stated, adding that the charges against the Indian billionaire highlight serious governance and corruption concerns.

Taking a direct jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gandhi alleged that the PM is shielding Adani from scrutiny. The leader of opposition also demanded Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) chief Madhabi Puri Buch's removal for allegedly supporting Adani in his scams.
