Actions of CBI, ED aimed at breaking opposition unity: Sharad Yadav
Congress leaders and Sitaram Yechury held discussions with Yadav, even as the AICC reiterated that the searches and the case on the RJD’s first family were politically motivated.

“This tirade by agencies of the government which has been unleashed against many Opposition leaders is part of an attempt to break the united opposition, but this is impossible, we will unite,” Yadav said on Monday. Some senior Congress leaders and CPM chief Sitaram Yechury held discussions with Yadav, even as the AICC reiterated that the searches and the case on the RJD’s first family were politically motivated and aimed at breaking Opposition unity and the Bihar alliance.
Leaders of various Opposition parties are slated to attend a meeting called by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday to discuss the upcoming vice-presidential polls and other ‘common causes’ but Nitish Kumar has created uncertainty about JDU’s participation by summoning all senior leaders and legislators for a meeting in Patna around the same time. There is also suspense on whether all 17 opposition parties that endorsed the Opposition presidential candidate will turn up for Tuesday’s meet.
