AMRITSAR: An NGO on Wednesday urged the Union Government of India to abolish the Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, which specifies that except for Defence, Foreign Affairs and Communications, the Parliament needed the state's concurrence for applying all other laws.

All India Anti Terrorist Front chairman Maninderjit Singh Bitta today said that law and order situation in the valley has worsened and that the situation must be controlled before it slips further.

"The army deployed in the Valley should be given free hand to shoot the terrorists," said Bitta.

He said that virtually the entire Hindu community left Kashmir, as they were feeling no more secured there.

He added that fresh Assembly election should not be held at least for the next two years in the state, since terrorists have captured the entire valley and former PDP Government was responsible for the situation.

Bitta alleged that former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syed has allegedly supplied most important and secret documents of the nation to Pakistan based ISI.
