BJP leaders have been using Kharge's comment 'Abki Baar, 400 paar' to say that the opposition has conceded defeat ahead of the elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen laughing at Kharge's comment.
BJP's official social media account shared the video with the caption saying "PM Modi be like "I need new haters, the old ones have become my fans..."
Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Pralhad Joshi and others have shared the snippet of Kharge saying BJP's slogan on their social media accounts.
Earlier during the day, Goyal demanded an apology from the Congress for the controversial statement by party MP that suggested a call for a separate south nation over fiscal injustice, but the opposition party's president said it stands for a united nation and will not tolerate any such call. Raising the issue in the Rajya Sabha when it met for the day, Goyal said the statement by D K Suresh, who is the brother of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, reflects the "divisive" thinking of the Congress party.
BJP's 'Abki baar, 400 baar' campaign:
"Teesri baar Modi Sarkar, ab ki baar 400 paar'. BJP has set a target to win 400 plus seats in 2024 Lok Sabha polls," a senior party source said.
According to a party functionary, the BJP has also decided convenors and co-convenors at the State Assembly and Lok Sabha levels.
