Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee has decided to skip the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) summons on October 3 in connection with the recruitment scam in West Bengal. He has said that he will participate in the party's agitation programme on October 2 and 3 in New Delhi.

Meanwhile, the Calcutta High Court on Friday observed that the on-going probe in the case should not be stopped on October 3 while removing the ED's Investigation Officer in the case. The HC also directed that the IO will not be able to participate in any case in West Bengal anymore.

Around 4,000 labourers and 100days job card holders from rural Bengal will reach Delhi on October 1, led by Abhishek Banerjee and other Trinamoolleaders for the agitation. Trinamool Congress claimed that they have been denied permission by the railways for a special train.
