ITANAGAR: The All-Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union has demanded that the names of Chakma and Hajong refugees which were enrolled in the electoral rolls of Arunachal Pradesh be deleted at the earliest.

The union in a press statement on Thursday said that it would resort to launching another ' Operation Clean Drive' against illegal Bangladeshi migrants in the state.

"It also sought immediate solution to the interstate boundary issue with Assam, besides opposing the granting of permanent residence certificate to non-Arunachalees of the state, and demanding cancellation of land allotment, trading license and ST certificates already issued to them.

The AAPSU's other demands included introduction of anthropology in colleges; infrastructure development of schools and colleges; and enhancement of students' stipends.
