AAP's student wing readies Delhi University poll shortlist
CYSS is in process of getting a survey done across all colleges which should give it a clearer picture of where it stands in its maiden students' election.

"The election is scheduled for the second week of September and we will first release a shortlist of candidates. The final list of tickets will be announced by the end of this month. Meanwhile, we have had three ABVP members join our party , one as recently as Wednesday. They include 2010-11 DUSU president Jitender Choudhary , North Campus in-charge of ABVP Dharmendra and the Kalkaji in-charge. CYSS has been active in the university for a few months now, especially during admission season. We have concluded that ABVP is our biggest competition. However, the recent shifts from ABVP to CYSS have made us a little more confident of our chances," said a source. The source said that CYSS did not expect a tough fight from the Congress wing, National Students' Union of India.
The party has undertaken a massive survey to get a sense of what lies ahead. Sources said that of the 1.29 lakh students in 49-odd colleges, the survey is targeting 8,000 plus respondents. CYSS president Anupam Kumar said that the party has been busy building a base in colleges and will launch a campaign shortly .
"So far, our focus was to reach out to students in every class, but now we will shift our focus to visibility. Our campaign will be loud and colourful, involving the maximum number of people and using least possible funds. Our manifesto is also being prepared.Students from all colleges will contribute their suggestions and they will be considered for the document," he said.
