AAP vs BAAP! Shaziya Ilmi, brother Rashid Ilmi in faceoff

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP) candidate Shaziya Ilmi will not just be fighting the Congress and the BJP in the upcoming assembly election. She is also up against her own brother, Rashid Ilmi, who filed his nomination papers from the RK Puram constituency, where Shaziya is contesting, as an independent candidate on Saturday.

But Bhartiya Aam Aadmi Party ( BAAP), a splinter group of AAP, claimed Rashid was representing it. Rashid said that his intention was to expose his sister’s doublespeak on corruption. Rashid has accused Shaziya, a former journalist, of ruining the family financially and emotionally. Shaziya was not reachable for comment.
