AAP, Trinamool absent; JDU joins ranks backing RVM proposal

​​The SP and NCP leaders could not make it to the meeting, but conveyed their views and joined ranks with the rest. BSP didn't attend the meeting even as Mayawati on Sunday tweeted a critique of EVMs. AAP too was not present.

The JD(U), which earlier appeared to be backing the RVM proposal, too joined the Opposition ranks on the issue but some participants said JD(U) representatives desisted from opposing EVMs in toto.

While the DMK and most of its Tamil Nadu allies, which are opposed to the RVM, could not attend the meeting on account of Pongal, the TMC didn't attend the meeting but its views against RVMs is much publicised.
