AAP to convert Bhalswa site into playground if it wins MCD polls
NEW DELHI: Hitting out at the BJP-ruled MCDs for "civic woes", Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today said that AAP will develop Bhalswa landfill site into a playground for children if it is voted to power in municipal corporations next year.

Addressing a gathering here, the Delhi Chief Minister said despite the Congress and the BJP ruling for several years, garbage dump, which has come up in the middle of city, has not been removed from the site.

"There is a landfill site (Bhalswa) which has become like a mountain of garbage in the middle of the city. Congress had ruled for several years and now BJP is ruling municipal corporations.

"It is shameful that even after several years, the garbage dump has not been removed from the middle of the city," Kejriwal said.

He hoped that when the Aam Aadmi Party comes to power in the MCDs next year, they will remove heaps of garbage from here and develop the site into a playground for children.

"We are doing those works in one and half years which both Congress and BJP had not done in last 50 years," he claimed.
