AAP slams Najeeb Jung for not asking BJP to show him letters of MLA's supporting it
The party said that Jung had insisted to show him the numbers when AAP formed the government, but so far he has not asked the BJP the same.

The party said that Jung had insisted to show him the numbers when AAP formed the government, but so far he has not asked the BJP the same.
"Jung had insisted on letters of support when it came to government formation by the Aam Aadmi Party in December last year. The AAP had met you only after it had letters of support from at least 36 MLAs in the 70-member House.
Why not have the same standards for the BJP ? Why not ask the BJP to produce letters of support on how many MLAs are supporting it? Have you decided to save the BJP from the basic requirement of staking a claim for government formation, given the fact that in the same Vidhan Sabha, this party has already once declined your offer citing lack of numbers?" the AAP said in a statement here.
After the December 2013 assembly polls, Jung had invited the BJP to form the government, but the saffron party had refused to do so citing numbers.
The AAP also questioned Jung's move that BJP was single largest party even in February this year after Arvind Kejriwal resigned.
"Why did you not invite the BJP then ? Why did you wait for seven months ? Why did you not consider this course of action then?
It is your (LG's) duty to explore government formation. But isn't it also your duty to ensure that no government is born in sin? Holding a constitutional post how would you allow formation of a government through unconstitutional methods, the proof of which has already been submitted to you?" the party said in a statement.
