AAP orchestrated slap incident to gain people's sympathy: Congress
NEW DELHI: Terming the attack on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal a "cheap political gimmick" orchestrated by the party itself, Congress today said it has demanded Lt Governor and Police Commissioner to order an high-level probe into the assault.

Congress's Delhi unit chief spokesperson Mukesh Sharma claimed, "A person who had earlier thrown ink on Kejriwal is now working at the AAP office, which has established that this case was also orchestrated by Kejriwal and his party."

Kejriwal was yesterday slapped by a man during a roadshow in Sultanpuri area of North West Delhi in second such attack in last four days.

"The fact that this incident has happened in the presence of Delhi Police constables, that no case was registered against the attacker, that Kejriwal sat at Rajghat immediately after the slap incident and Kejriwal meeting his attacker in his house today were all pointed to a well-planned incident," Sharma alleged.

He said AAP has lost its support of people, and because of that on the last day of the election campaign, the AAP leaders have orchestrated this attack to gain "people's sympathy".
