NEW DELHI: AAP MP Bhagwant Mann was on Monday "advised" by Speaker Sumitra Mahajan not to attend the Lok Sabha till a House committee submits its probe report on August 3. Last week, Mann had put out a video of his vehicle passing security barricades and entering Parliament complex on the social media. He had also videographed a room where Parliament questions were being sorted out.

The committee, in its first meeting on Monday evening, held a preliminary preview of the video, authorised the security wing of Parliament to conduct its technical check, including forensic examination of the authenticity of the footage, voice and timing of the shoot. Mann has time till July 28 to respond to the charge that his action has compromised security of Parliament.

Mahajan on Monday said: "I have decided to constitute a nine-member inquiry committee to probe this issue. The committee has been assigned to look into the conduct of Mann." Mann later said: "Wasn’t the nation’s security put at stake when Pakistan’s security agency came and PM Modi allowed them inside the Pathankot base. PM should also be asked to appear before a committee, he should also be suspended from Parliament."
