NEW DELHI: AAP MLA Surinder Singh, who was today granted bail by court after his arrest for allegedly assaulting an NDMC employee, will join ex-servicemen protesting over One-Rank-One-Pension (OROP) issue.

Singh, a former NSG commando fought terrorist during the 26/11 attack, will be the second AAP MLA to join the OROP protest after Bijwasan MLA Col Devendra Sehrawat.

"Commando (Singh) will join the protesters at Jantar Mantar on August 24," said his aide after his bail.

Singh's joining the OROP protest against the Narendra Modi government assumes significance given his arrest and AAP's charge that its legislators are being targeted at the behest of the Centre.

He was arrested by the Delhi Police yesterday for allegedly assaulting an NDMC personnel early this month.
