LUCKNOW: Designer of Aam Aadmi Party logo, Sunil Lal has served a legal notice to party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asking him to withdraw the symbol from all official works including the website failing which he would move court.

"I sent a notice to Kejriwal through my counsel Avinash Chandra on June 22 asking him to stop using the logo designed by me from all works or else I will be left with no option but to approach court to get it stopped," Lal told PTI today.

The former AAP activist said since the logo is his intellectual property and he has not given its right to anyone, its use should be stopped immediately.

Lal, an advertising professional, who had been working alongside Kejriwal since the Anna movement said, he had sent a letter to the Delhi Chief Minister on April 8 also and had asked him to withdraw the logo after which it wad removed from some places.

"Through that letter I had also resigned from the party as I felt AAP was not going in the direction for which we had struggled", he said.

"I had been forced to serve the notice since despite my request about two and a half month ago, the logo is still in use," he said, adding that the party website still carries the logo designed by him.
