AAP keeps bribe-takers on their toes
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a week-long drive to ensure public get their work done without a bribe.

More than a 100 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers camped outside the Rajajinagar RTO and the sub-registrar's office on Wednesday, as part of a weeklong campaign under the BribeFreeKarnataka drive the party has launched.
On Thursday, the campaign at RTO and sub-registrar office in Indiranagar will be flagged off by former Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde.
On day one of the campaign on Tuesday, AAP workers camped outside the Koramangala RTO and sub-registrar's office to deter officials from demanding bribes.
"According to public perception, the RTOs and sub-registrar offices are most corrupt. If an officer demands a bribe, citizens can approach our workers, who will then escalate the issue through proper channel," AAP Karnataka convenor Siddhartha Sharma said.
"I'm supporting the cause because it creates fear in officers' minds, especially when the Lokayukta has become dysfunctional," Hegde said. The campaign will move to Yelahanka on Friday and Jayanagar on Saturday.
