AAP hits out at Nitin Gadkari
MUMBAI: The Aam Aadmi Party has alleged that a realty firm received favours from BJP leader Nitin Gadkari in return for pouring money into a company promoted by him, resurrecting an issue that had cost the former party chief a second term at the helm last year.

At a press conference in Nagpur on Thursday, AAP leader Ajit Sawant said the party was in possession of documents which revealed that Nagpurbased Reatox Builders and Developers Pvt Ltd had paid a total of Rs 75 lakh to the BJP and to Gadkari’s Purti group.

In return, AAP claimed, Gadkari facilitated irregularities by the Reatox group in a housing project at Mihan (Multi-nodal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur).

"Reatox was supposed to build 2,080 flats to develop flats for Project Affected People who lost their land due to the MIHAN project. The land that the company got was in excess of building the 2,080 flats. The company violated the terms and conditions and instead was trying to sell the flats in the open market," Sawant claimed. "Since Gadkari has been involved in the MIHAN project since the beginning, Reatox has given money to BJP and Gadkari as a quid pro quo arrangement."
