NEW DELHI: After successful fund-raising events in Mumbai and Delhi last week where AAP collected close to Rs 1.5 crore, the party has now set its eyes on foreign shores.

Party convener Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to travel to Dubai and New York where he will meet supporters and volunteers and try raising money for the Delhi assembly elections.

Sources said that Kejriwal will be departing for Dubai on December 4. "The World Brand Summit has declared him the most influential person of the year and will be felicitating him at a ceremony in Dubai. He is also scheduled to speak at a lecture organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Dubai branch. In between, some of his friends from IIT have arranged for private meetings with residents of Indian origin," said sources.

On the evening of December 6, Kejriwal will fly to New York where he will be addressing meetings with volunteers and supporters. He may also be speaking at a lecture at a local university.

In Dubai, Kejriwal will be accompanied by senior party member HS Phoolka and MP Bhagwant Mann may also join them.
