AAP for probe into non-representation of Delhi government in CAG audit case
"The court has overlooked a key fact that DERC is a regulator and not an auditor, and the DERC itself had stated it wanted the CAG to audit the account books of discoms.

The Aam Aadmi Party has also demanded an inquiry to "expose the conspiracy" behind non-representation of the Delhi administration in the High Court in the case challenging the CAG audit of power discoms during one year of President's rule between 14 February 2014 and 14 February 2015.
"Shocked to know during 1 yr of LG (BJP/ Cong) rule, Del govt was not represented in CAG audit/discoms case in HC. will get this probed (sic)," Power Minister Satyendar Jain wrote on Twitter.
In a statement, the AAP said that the fact that Delhi administration went unrepresented has been "revealed" in the High Court judgement and the party demands that Delhi government should order a probe into the matter.
"The court has overlooked a key fact that DERC is a regulator and not an auditor, and the DERC itself had stated it wanted the CAG to audit the account books of discoms.
"The people of Delhi cannot and will not suffer for the mistake of the previous Congress government, which paid no heed to the DERC recommendation of 2010 of getting a CAG audit of discoms," the statement stated.
The AAP government has decided to move the Supreme Court against the HC order. The order said that since DERC has the power to audit private discoms, there can be no other audit by CAG at the instance of the state government.
