AAP demands explanation on China policy, incursions

NEW DELHI: Slamming the Narendra Modi-led NDA government over the recent Chinese incursions, Aam Aadmi Party today demanded that the government come clean on the exact situation in Chumar sector near the Line of Actual Control.

The party also demanded that the government come clean on its China policy.

"The Prime Minister had given the nation an impression that he had raised the issue of border dispute with the visiting Chinese President strongly and the issue was to be resolved," the party said in a statement.

It also recalled Modi's "extreme stand" on the issue during the UPA rule,

"He (Modi) had advised the UPA government to either take a tough stand against Chinese expansionism or go and drown itself," the party said.

The party said that the fact is that Chinese incursion in Chumar is much bigger in scale and with a clear long term intent, compared to the incursions in 2013.
