Aam Aadmi Party wants Delhi police to apologize for MLA Surinder Singh's arrest
The MLA was arrested on Friday, along with his secretary and driver, after he had gone to the police station for questioning.

Singh, the MLA from Delhi Cantt, was the third AAP MLA to be arrested in the past two months. Police had booked him on August 4, 2015 for allegedly beating and manhandling a New Delhi Municipal Council worker during a routine check by NDMC and had apprehended an e-rickshaw driver to check his documents.
The MLA was arrested on Friday, along with his secretary and driver, after he had gone to the police station for questioning.
A senior AAP member said that the police had stooped extremely low this time by implicating an MLA under false charges only to placate BJP. "Delhi Police needs to explain to the people of Delhi under whose directions it acted to unsuccessfully implicate former NSG commando MLA Surinder Singh in a case of kidnapping, which has thoroughly exposed it in a court of law," said a senior party member.
He was referring to an observation in the court's order which said: "Further, if all the allegations levelled by the prosecution are accepted on their face value, even then the ingredients of the offence under Section 367 IPC ie kidnapping or abducting to cause grevious hurt, slavery etc, are not even remotely attracted."
The party said that senior member Sanjay Singh had escorted Singh to the police headquarters twice brass of the Delhi Police and categorically told Delhi Police brass that they will not have to look for any AAP MLA or volunteer against whom they registers an FIR, since the party has nothing to hide.
