A H Haroon Pakistan's new permanent representative to UN

Pakistan on Friday announced the appointment of Abdullah Hussain Haroon as its permanent representative to the United Nations.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Friday announced the appointment of Abdullah Hussain Haroon as its permanent representative to the United Nations.

The 57-year-old Haroon, who will succeed Munir Akram, began his political career as a counsellor in the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation in 1979. He has also served as the Speaker of the provincial assembly of Sindh.
