“Our chief minister has cancelled her Bangkok trip to stand beside you at this crisis hour. Your money is deposited in banks, but you are not being able to use it because of scrapping of high value note.
We are not against black money, but we want to know from the Prime Minister why common people will have to suffer for such a hasty decision he has taken.
You will get an opportunity to protest on Saturday by voting against the BJP,” Bengal transport minister Suvendu Adhikari told an election rally at Haldia on Thursday.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee cancelled her address to the Bangkok Global Asian Conference on November 27 following the currency recall. Even though she has not campaigned for her candidates, she hit the streets of Kolkata on November 9, a day after the scheme was announced.
