9 AIADMK candidates to contest local body polls in Kerala

CHENNAI: AIADMK today announced that it would field nine candidates for next month's local body polls in Kerala.

AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa said the party's Parliamentary Board had finalised the names of the nine candidates, six of whom are women.

Accordingly, the party announced candidates for four wards each in Palakkad and Idukki districts and one at Kollam.

The local body polls in the Congress-ruled Kerala is scheduled on November 2 and 5.
