81 per cent power supply restored in Kashmir: Jammu and Kashmir government
JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir government today said that 81 per cent electricity supply has been restored in Kashmir Valley and work is on to restore the rest.

"81 per cent electricity has been restored in the Valley and work is on to restore the entire supply", Principal Secretary Power Development Department (PDD), A K Mehta, said.

Power across Kashmir Valley has been restored to a large extent and out of the 229 receiving stations, 212 have been restored, Mehta said.

He said out of the 22,703 distribution transformers, 18,500 are functioning normally and remaining are being restored.

Mehta said in Srinagar 75 per cent, Shopian 90 per cent, Pulwama 85 per cent, Anantnag 90 per cent, Kulgam 90 per cent, Bandipore 85 per cent, Ganderbal 95 per cent, Baramulla 95 per cent, Kupwara 95 per cent and Budgam 95 per cent electricity have been restored.
