80 tribals "converted" to Christianity in Odisha
ROURKELA: At least 80 tribals were allegedly converted to Christianity in Balisuda village in Sundargarh district of Odisha, officials said today.

"We have information about the alleged conversion (on December 25). I have sent there a team that consists of Sub-Collector of Bonai, Surendra Kumar Mina. They are investigating the case and verifying the facts...," District Collector Bhupinder Singh Poonia said.

Inspector-In-Charge (IIC) M Pradhan of K Balang Police Station, who is leading the probe into this case, said "The villagers of Balisuda, led by Panduramn Munda, ward member of Darjing gram panchayat, have submitted a written complaint in this regard. It has been accepted as a station diary and we are investigating it."
