6 killed in Taliban suicide attack in Afghanistan

A suicide bomber on a motorbike blew himself up near two police vehicles in a border town in southern Afghanistan on Sunday, killing six people and wounding 17.

KANDAHAR: A suicide bomber on a motorbike blew himself up near two police vehicles in a border town in southern Afghanistan on Sunday, killing six people and wounding 17, police said.

The extremist Taliban militia said it had carried out the evening attack in the town of Spin Boldak on the border with Pakistan.

The blast killed three policemen and three civilians, Kandahar province police chief Matiullah Khan Qate said.
