BANGALORE: India captain Anil Kumble elected to bat after winning the toss against Pakistan in the third and final Test at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Saturday.

The hosts lead 1-0 in the series following their six-wicket victory in the opening Test in New Delhi. The second match ended in a draw in Kolkata.

India made four changes from the side that played in the second Test, bringing in pacemen Irfan Pathan and Ishant Sharma, and batsmen Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh.

Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Zaheer Khan and Munaf Patel were ruled out of the match due to injuries.

Pakistan made one change, replacing Sohail Tanvir with debutant Yasir Arafat.
