3rd Test: India claim 4 Pakistan wickets

India managed to claw back on the third day’s play after the dangerous due of Mohammad Yousuf and Younus Khan were sent back to the pavilion by Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan respectively.

BANGALORE: India managed to claw back on the third day’s play after the dangerous due of Mohammad Yousuf and Younus Khan were sent back to the pavilion by Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan respectively in the final Test in Bangalore on Monday.

Younis Khan struck a masterly half century before falling to the wily Harbhajan who got him bowled. The Pakistan captain scored 80 runs. The other senior pro Yousuf could not convert his start as he was uprooted by comeback man Pathan for a personal score of 24.

The other wicket to fall on the day was that of Salman Butt who was caught by Dinesh Karthik off Sourav Ganguly for 68.

Ganguly and Pathan blasted their maiden double hundred and century respectively on Sunday after Yuvraj Singh smashed 169 to help hosts India post an imposing first-innings total of 626.
