34 security men killed in Naxal violence this year: Government

NEW DELHI: Thirty-four security force personnel have lost their lives in 357 incidents of Naxal violence this year in various states of the country.

"In the current year (upto April 15, 2015) 52 attacks on security forces personnel took place by the Left Wing Extremists resulting in 16 casualties," Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary said in a written reply to Rajya Sabha.

"However, the numbers of overall casualties of security forces personnel were 34 on account of 357 numbers of incidents of LWE violence in the current year (upto April 15, 2015),"
