30 people were killed in a stampede in the Chamunda temple.


JODHPUR: At least 30 people were killed and over 100 injured in a major stampede in the Chamunda temple here when devotes gathered in large numbers on the occasion of the start of Navaratri.

At least 10 bodies have been brought to the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital here, Divisional Commissioner Kiran Soni Gupta told reporters.

The reasons for the stampede were not known yet. It is feared the number of casualties may go up.
