Three passengers including a political party member were arrested after they allegedly misbehaved with the crew and passengers of an IndiGo flight.

MUMBAI: Three passengers including a political party member were arrested after they allegedly misbehaved with the crew and passengers of an IndiGo flight, a senior executive said.

The flight was to take off for Chennai from Coimbatore. It was delayed by an hour because of the issue.

The passengers included Subhash Swaminathan, vice president of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha’s Tamil Nadu unit, and two lawyers, Senthilkumar and Raja of Perundhurai.

The passengers boarded the flight allegedly drunk and started clicking pictures of an airhostess The airhostess objected and the pilot intervened leading to an argument. The passengers deleted the photos but later used abusive language, at which point the crew called CISF officials.
