The flights were diverted between 3.30 PM and 4.15 PM, they added.
Besides, a number of incoming and outgoing flights from the IGI airport were also delayed due to the congestion caused by the VIP movement, they said without giving details of the flights.
While Jet Airways flight (9W-351) from Mumbai was scheduled to land at Delhi at 3.45 PM, IndiGo flight from Kathamndu at 3.30 PM and Vistara from Goa (UK-862) were diverted to Lucknow during this period, had to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport at 3.15 pm, they added.
