LUCKNOW: The three-day national convention of Samajwadi Party would be held at Janeshwar Mishra park here from October 8, a party spokesman said today.

"The three-day convention will start from October 8 during which SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will unveil a 25-feet high statue of former socialist leader Janeshwar Mishra," party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said in a statement.

He said that representatives from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Lakshadweep, Manipur, Goa, Odisha, Gujarat, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh would attend the meet.

He said that the convention would discuss and pass political and economic resolutions.

On the last day of the meet, an open session would also be organised, Chaudhary said.
