3 Army soldiers killed, another feared dead in avalanche

The avalanche buried the Army vehicle at Changla yesterday, resulting in death of three soldiers and injury to two others, who have been hospitalised.

SRINAGAR: Three Army personnel were killed while another was feared dead as their vehicle came under a huge snow avalanche in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman said today.

"We have recovered bodies of three soldiers while search is on for another soldier who is now feared dead," Army's norther headquarter spokesman Colonel S D Goswami said.

He said the avalanche buried the Army vehicle at Changla yesterday, resulting in death of three soldiers and injury to two others, who have been hospitalised.

Earlier, the spokesman had said four jawans were killed in the incident while one jawan was missing.
