3 additional CBI courts to come up in New Delhi

Three new CBI courts will become functional from January 2 in the national capital to meet the long-standing demand for additional special courts.

NEW DELHI: Three new CBI courts will become functional from January 2 in the national capital to meet the long-standing demand for additional special courts to dispose of rising cases with the investigation agency.

The three new special CBI courts will come up at Tis Hazari, Saket and Patiala House and will be conducted by special judges Anu Malhotra, Ravinder Kaur and Swarna Kanta Sharma.

In a major reshuffle in the Delhi Judicial Service and the Delhi Higher Judicial Service, a total of 107 transfers and postings have been made.

An order in this regard was made by Acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court A K Sikri.

The order said all the postings and transfers will be effective from January 2, 2012.
