NEW DELHI: CBI on Monday questioned former TRAI chairman Pradip Bailjal in connection with the 2G spectrum allocation scam as it prepares to file another charge sheet in the case.

Baijal was questioned earlier by the CBI in February and his premises in Noida was also searched by the agency in December last year.

A 1966-batch retired IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, Baijal was grilled by the agency on the subjects of policy adapted in spectrum allocation and allotment of telecom licenses to some beneficiaries, sources said.

Agency sources said Baijal's clarifications were sought on allegations that policy adopted by him had favoured some telecom companies.
